“Thai Deputy Prime Minister Jurin” led the opening of the online platform “THAIFEX – Virtual Trade Show” of the future, in which buyers from 99 countries worldwide will take part


The Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) of the Thai Ministry of Commerce launched the THAIFEX – Virtual Trade Show (THAIFEX-VTS) via www.thaifex-vts.com and highlighted its potential as a platform of the future. It offers both the format and the features to suit the needs of buyers and sellers. The platform is also designed to enhance the potential of business matching and make Thailand the center of the world-class food and beverage exhibition. THAIFEX – VTS, which offers Virtual – Online Business Matching (OBM) between global buyers and Thai exhibitors, will be held from September 29th to October 3rd and will welcome 1,433 and 368 online applicants who are buyers / importers from 99 countries thai entrepreneurs / exports company.

Jurin Laksanawisit, Thailand’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce, stated that the THAIFEX-VTS will serve as a key factor for Thai food and beverage companies to successfully collaborate with their target buyers and as the online platform of the future that has the full potential for business matching. This VTS is also helping create myriad trading opportunities for Thai entrepreneurs affected by the global COVID-19 pandemic.

“The virtual trade fair like this is the rising trend of the new trade fair phase in the post-pandemic or after the COVID-19 has subsided. In addition, THAIFEX-VTS has shown that Thailand has developed into the center of the world-class trade fair for food and beverages, ”said Jurin.

For this year, THAIFEX-VTS, DITP, has expanded the format and functions of the platform www.thaifex-vts.com in a modern and user-friendly way and offers a variety of interesting services that cater to the needs of buyers and sellers. The THAIFEX-VTS platform is compatible with multiple devices, from PCs, laptops, tablets to cell phones. Meanwhile, Business Matching can accommodate more than 4 participants in one room so that interpreters, decision makers and others can take part. The platform also offers a web board that serves as a buy / sell bulletin and provides the contact information of the exhibitors, as well as a system that can recommend a product / company profile to users based on their selection during registration.

In addition to the main event of the Virtual – Online Business Matching (V-OBM), THAIFEX – VTS is offering a variety of activities this year, such as the product presentation on the subject of City of Food Products, divided into zones for various key product categories. With the Virtual Tour technology, attendees can enjoy the virtual exhibition booths of 368 exhibitors, which offer 360-degree product views as well as product lists, key information, brochures and video clips as if they were visiting the physical exhibition for 24 hours. This platform enables attendees to watch live streaming events through the Food Amphitheater and enables exhibitors to broadcast their product launches and activities live.
