Henderson’s business continues to grow, new business grant available

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – Henderson is the second largest city in Nevada and the fastest growing and doesn’t seem to be stopping anytime soon.

One of the latest developments is the near-completed Dollar Loan Center Arena. It will be the home of the Henderson Silver Knights AHL ice hockey team and various community events.

Scott Muelrath of the Henderson Chamber of Commerce says industrial parks in West Henderson are expanding due to the immigration of California companies.

There is a lot of development planned for 2022 that will affect the entire community.

“Whether hotel rooms for the Big West basketball tournament in March or people eating out after a game at the Dollar Loan Center in the neighborhood. In this sense, everything works together, and we are very happy about the opening of this venue for the community, ”said Mülrath.

The health sector was also expanded in Henderson. A new tower was built at Henderson Hospital last year. A new medical campus will be built in West Henderson across from the Raiders training facility.

If you are a new business owner you may be eligible for a promotion. The Henderson Chamber of Commerce has raised funding for new tenants in the Launchpad, an incubator. You can apply if your business is less than two years old, you are a US citizen and 51% minority or controlled by a woman or a US veteran. It is designed for start-ups or home-based businesses.

“Our corporate partners have put this funding together to help a startup get off the ground and move forward,” said Mülrath.

The application will run until the end of January and more information can be found at this link.
