JACKSONVILLE, Florida— Guardian Connect, a remote monitoring and service delivery platform for fuel systems in convenience stores, has launched a real-time dashboard and mobile IoT platforms.
The new dashboard provides instant alerts when connected devices fail, and Guardian Connect’s 24/7 support center staff take action to remotely diagnose and fix problems. Traditionally, the industry has relied on customer complaints or infrequent manager visits to uncover problems that can take days to track down.
If a card reader running Guardian Connect fails, the company’s support center can often resolve the issue in less than 10 minutes after the problem began, the company said. When on-site assistance is required, the customized platform can either automatically initiate an informed dispatch to the nearest Guardian Fueling Technologies technician with a part, or the same informed dispatch to the retailer’s service management team or service management software to transfer.
“We no longer measure the response time in days, but in minutes. Our team actively monitors and manages alerts, converting significant amounts of data into immediate action and better service outcomes. These improvements in service delivery also significantly improve system uptime, reduce maintenance costs and enhance the C-Store fuel buyer experience,” said Scott Jones, senior vice president of Guardian Connect.
The new mobile platform, available to all subscribers to the Guardian Connect service, will enable store owners, managers and company service technicians to respond to issues when they are on site, rather than waiting for service outage information to make its way into the store Find home office, and then wait to ship internally or externally, which can take days.
